Reiki
Reiki is the simplest and one of the most powerful tools you’ll ever need and use
Because God or Source is ever-present, constantly growing and expanding, so is the energy that comes from God or Source. Reiki is that energy.
There are many different types of Reiki just like there are many different colors of a rainbow, all beautiful and all a part of the rainbow, but can be used separately for a special purpose or collectively for a specific purpose.
With each system or type of Reiki there are attunements that prepare our physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual bodies to accept the energy and enable the ability to channel the energy at any time.
These attunements are life changing and so, for gentleness and kindness to the self, we take breaks between them.
With Reiki I, which focuses on physical healing, there is a one-day break between this attunement and the Reiki II attunement.
With Reiki II, which brings in the mental and emotional healing and the ability to send Reiki to anyone and anything, anywhere regardless of distance or time, there is a 6-month break between this attunement and the Reiki Master attunements.
In Reiki Master you receive 4 attunements over 3 consecutive days. Because your body has been preparing for this over the last six months or more, it is more adaptable to the energetic upgrades that will take place in this class. With the Master level you receive spiritual healing and the ability to attune others to Reiki. There is a 6-month waiting period to advance on to Karuna Reiki® if you so wish.
I mentioned earlier that there are many different types of Reiki. Because it is the energy that comes from God/Source, Reiki has been around always. For the purposes of this article, I’m just going to go into the types of Reiki that I teach.
Usui Reiki
Usui Reiki began in 1922 with the profound enlightened experience of Mikao Usui. He had been seeking the meaning of life, of his life and he went up to Mount Kurama Yama in Japan, where he lived, to fast and meditate for 21 days. On the last day of his journey, he was struck with a brilliant light that knocked him unconscious. When he awoke, he was filled with energy and enlightenment saying, “I am in the Universe and the Universe is in me.” Excited, he ran down the mountain and tripped on the tree roots, injuring his toe. He placed his hands on his toe for comfort and it healed immediately. This is when he discovered his new ability to heal and got the answer to his life’s purpose. He went on healing others, as many as he could, but when the great earthquake of 1923 happened in Japan, he couldn’t heal enough people by himself. This is when he prayed for the ability to pass on his healing abilities to others so they could heal themselves and others too. He received this ability then and created his healing group of Usui Reiki practitioners. He encouraged his students to continually seek to grow the ability to channel this energy because he knew this energy would continue to grow.
Karuna Reiki®
Karuna means compassion. This energy is a combination of channeled symbols by several Reiki Masters seeking to be open to the ever-growing energies of Reiki. Some of these Reiki Masters include Marcy Miller, Kelli-Ray Marine, Pat Courtney, Catherine Mills Bellamont and Marla Abraham. They shared these symbols and attunement processes with William Lee Rand between 1989-1993. In 1995, William was guided to more clearly defined the system and to name it Karuna Reiki ® which can be defined as the Reiki of Compassion. These symbols and energies have come in to help us heal from abuse – physical & sexual, PTSD and addiction, with as much ease as possible.
Holy Fire® Reiki
Holy Fire has been around since ancient times but was brought in as a system of healing that can be used by anyone attuned to it in 2014. This energy made itself known to William Lee Rand as he was constantly seeking to improve his ability to know and grow Reiki through a combination of channeled healing sessions and meditation. It has continued to grow from Holy Fire® I to Holy Fire® II to Holy Fire® III to World Peace Reiki. This energy heals religious trauma, continues to heal on its own, heals and releases earth bound spirits and demons safely & easily, and creates profound peace.
Animal Reiki
Animal Reiki was brought in to us by a group of four animal loving Shamans, Colleen Benelli, Sioux Strong, Robyn Benelli, and Pamela Allen-LeBlanc, who are also Reiki Master Teachers. Through meeting with the Divine Animal Kingdom in meditation for 6 years this system has come forth. This Reiki comes from the Spirit of the Earth and the Divine Animal Kingdom to provide healing for our planet, the animals and ourselves. It heals grief on the deepest levels along with compassion fatigue.
Kid Reiki™
Kid Reiki™ was developed by three Reiki Master Teachers, April Walker, Cami Coté, and Chellie Kammermeyer, who have been teaching Reiki to kids for many years, one of them is also a college professor for child development. They each were called to create a curriculum for kids wanting to learn Reiki and started collaborating together in September of 2021. I was honored to be a part of their pilot program, Kid Reiki™ Teacher Training, in early December of 2023. The Kid Reiki™ energy has a direct connection to the Angelic Realm of the spiritual source of Reiki. It clears off the layers of shame we carry, and it brings back our childhood joy and curiosity in life. This is dedicated to the children of the world – who are our teachers. This program and energy is light and fun, and helps our kiddos with overwhelm, comfort, the feeling of safety and the ability to self-regulate.

Usui Reiki I & II
Reiki is the energy that flows directly from Source/God/The Great Being. It is the vibration of love. In this beginner’s class you will be attuned to this energy.
Usui / Holy Fire® III Master
The Usui / Holy Fire® Reiki energy is a powerful energy that will strengthen your existing Reiki energy. It provides purification, healing, and guidance.
Karuna/ Holy Fire® III Master
Karuna Reiki® is the Divine energy of compassion, compassionate action mixed with wisdom. This class is Karuna I, II & Master in three days.
Animal Reiki I & II
Animal Reiki I & II are the beginning levels of a beautiful energy specifically for the animals on earth given to us by the Divine Animal Kingdom and the Spirit of the Earth.
Animal Reiki Master
Animal Reiki Master energy works with your Usui Reiki Master energy to empower and grow the connection to the Spirit of the Earth, The Tree of Life Reiki (which is the Animal Reiki energy) and the Divine Animal Kingdom
Online Reiki Session
All my Reiki sessions are online. This allows me to reach you anywhere you are and at any time that is preferred – I’ve had clients call me from work to ask for a session before or during a big meeting.
Kid Reiki™ Level I
This is a beginner Reiki class for kids ages 6 to 16 years old. Each kid must have their parent or legal guardian with them. Together, you will learn and get attuned to Reiki, and have lots of fun!
